Wave of Vandalism Sweeps Through Oneonta’s 6th Ward Saturday Night

Reports are coming in about a wave of vandalism that swept through Oneonta's historic 6th Ward on Saturday night.  There are reports of places getting heavily hit with paint graffiti including residences, Riverside School, the Swart Wilcox House (which is Oneonta's oldest structure) and others.  Also a fire was set which totally destroyed parts of Doc Knapp Field including the third base dugout.

The damage to Doc Knapp Field apparently will be costly to fix.  Stay tuned to your local radio stations as we will be coordinating some fundraising to benefit this venerable old place that has meant so much to so many of our local young people.
