Are you and your family prepared if a flood, fire, or any natural or man-made disaster should strike? This Saturday, May 19th, Norwich Emergency Management will present a two hour New York State Citizen Preparedness training seminar to help citizens learn how to prepare and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.

The training will be led by the NY National Guard and the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, and coordinated with local Chenango County and Norwich emergency management personnel.   Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies.

A key component of the training session will be the distribution of a free NYS Disaster Preparedness Kit to all participants (1 per family) containing key items to assist families in the aftermath of a disaster.  For registration information, call 607-334-1299 and listen to the entire chat we had with A. Wesley Jones, Norwich Emergency Management by clicking below.
