Award Winning Singer Coming to 6 On The Square

This Saturday, October 11th, 6OTS will present nationally acclaimed artist David Mallett. His songs have been recoded by more than 150 artists including  Pete Seeger, John Denver  and Emmylou Harris. His most famous tune, "Garden Song," is an American folk classic.

Mallett hails from a small town in Maine, which I know very well. He hails from Sebec, which is next to the town where  I began my radio career, Dover-Foxcroft. In 1975, Mallet met another famous Maine singer-songwriter, Noel "Paul" Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary fame. Stookey became his mentor, eventually bringing Mallett to national prominence.
