Bainbridge Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

On May 15th, troopers from State Police Sidney arrested David J. Menard, 57, of Bainbridge for possession of a sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.

An investigation for child pornography had been started by the NY State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Menard was arrested after a search warrant was conducted at his residence at the Maple Manor Apartments on S. Main Street in the Village of Bainbridge.

Menard was arraigned in the Town of Bainbridge Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.

Possession of a sexual performance by a child is a class E felony; promoting a sexual performance by a child is a class D felony.
