Big Presentation at NYS Veteran’s HomeThis Friday

The NYS Veteran's Home in Oxford has announced that on Friday, June 12th at 11 AM, they will be the proud recipient of a Blue Star Memorial Marker presented by the Sixth District Federated  Garden Clubs of N.Y. State. The memorial honors have served or are serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The Blue Star Memorial is a national program that began with placing a metal marker at appropriate locations covering thousands of miles across the Continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii.

On Interstate 81, one such marker can be seen at the Welcome Center sponsored by the 21 clubs of the FGCNYS. Former District Director and Oxford Garden Club member Joy Coletta helped arrange for that marker.
