Bloomville Man Arrested for DWI, Speeding over 100mph

State troopers from Margaretville arrested Jason M. Barnhart, 31, of Bloomville on March 23rd for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

Officials say Barnhart was speeding at 101 mph in a 55 mph zone on State Route 10 in Kortright. It is alleged that he then recklessly passed other vehicles on the road and threw a beer can out of his vehicle.

An investigation revealed that Barnhart had been drinking. His blood alcohol content was reported to be .13%. He will return to the Town of Kortright Court on April 15th.
