Time to get your foursome registered for the annual Toys For Tots Golf Tournament. This year's tournament will be held at Canasawacta Country Club on Friday, September 14th.

This coming Wednesday, August 15, Commerce Chenango will host their 2018 soiree and pay tribute to member businesses throughout the county, and special honors will go to Mayhood's Sporting Goods and the Wild Owl Cafe.

Every year, Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County hosts a dinner to celebrate their patients, their families, and their loyal supporters. This year's dinner will be held September 27th at 6 PM at Magro's Banquet Hall in Sherburne.

The 171st annual Chenango County Fair opens Tuesday at the fairgrounds on East Main St. in Norwich, and thanks to the generosity of Chobani, admission is free!. Gates open at 10:30 with NYSEG electric demonstrations scheduled throughout the day, harness racing and entertainment in the grandstand by the Peter Karp Band.

Friday, July 20th, Commerce Chenango will host a bus trip from Norwich to Binghamton to see the, ah hem, Rumble Ponies in action at NYSEG Stadium. They are, of course, the Double A affiliate of the New York Mets (Binghamton Mets sounded SO much better).

For the past 22 years, thousands of people from all over the country make their way to Norwich in July to play or watch hundreds of teams compete in the Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball tournament, and there is still time to get your team in for the 23rd annual tournament. There are nearly 400 teams already registered, but organizers want this year's tournament to be even bigger and better than ever.

This Thursday, June 28th, The Norwich Family YMCA is inviting everyone, young and not so young, to the "All Comers" Track Meet. It's an evening of fun and competition at the Norwich High School track.

The 24th Annual Chenango County Sheriff's summer camp begins in just a couple of weeks. The camp gives kids an opportunity to interact with Law Enforcement personnel in a positive manner, learning respect, honesty, and responsibility, and is free to children ages 9-12 who reside or attend school in Chenango County.

The County of Chenango Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) recently announced that for the first time in nearly a dozen years, commercial freight was shipped on NY Susquehanna and Western Railroad's Utica Line.
