There is something missing on my tree and under my tree, all because of my crazy cats!

By Liz Hill: Townsquare Media Oneonta Intern Over the years, artificial Christmas trees have gained a lot of popularity nationwide. With the options ranging from realistic green pine to hot pink fluff, why is the real tree tradition dying?

After seeing gas prices over the last few years skyrocket to over $4 per gallon, I never expected what I saw at the pumps this week: pricing below three dollars a gallon on regular gas!

Every year, sometime during the week leading up to Christmas, my family enjoys a fun holiday tradition that we started years ago:

This traditional holiday dessert has gotten a bad wrap through the years.  Jokes about being used as door stops or speed bumps, being the one the most re-gifted items during Christmas, and the punch line to many holiday jokes.  Well, I never thought I would say this, but

This Saturday, December 6th a very fun, 1950's evening with Bill Haley's Comets will rock almost around the clock at Foothills Performing Arts Center, Market Street, Oneonta, at 7pm.

I can't believe I never saw this commercial before!  It is not new but it is classic.  Billy Crystal dressed as a turkey and Robert De Niro in pilgrim garb...lol!

As you may have heard on your radio, The Southside Mall in Oneonta will not be open on Thanksgiving Day (exception of large retailers), despite a national trend in the last couple of years for retailers to be open on Thanksgiving to increase holiday sales figures.

I don't who you are, I think it's fair to say that we all appreciate a little kindness.  Today's the day to let all that kindness inside you hang out since November 13th is World Kindness Day.
