On April 22nd, two Town of Otselic residents were arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office on charges of animal cruelty.

Amanda M. Sgroi, 20, and Daniel L. Brown Jr., 18, are accused of going away for a week, leaving two medium-sized dogs in a small single dog cage without food or water, and a cat without access to food or water.

All three animals were relocated at a local animal rescue. Both Sgroi and Brown were released on appearance tickets until a later court date.
