We were joined in the studio Friday by Terra Granata and Rebecca Sands. They were here to bring us up to date on the current Chenango United Way campaign and ask for your help. Terra said the campaign is only at 49% of its 421,000 dollar goal, and if things don't improve, unfortunately some area agencies may not receive much needed funds. One of those agencies is "The Place," where Rebecca is the executive director. She said they could lose up to 30% of their United Way funding as things stand now and that would be a big hit.

The campaign runs through December 31st, so there is still time to help. To make a donation or for more information on the Chenango United Way, call 334-8815, visit their office at 83 North Broad Street in Norwich, or go to their website.

Terra said they may be facing a 100,000 dollar shortfall, which could be devastating to programs that rely on their funding.

Remember, all funds stay in Chenango County!  To hear the interview and learn more about The Place and Chenango United Way, listen to the entire interview by clicking below.
