Elizabeth Monaco, Executive Director of the Chenango United Way joined us Friday morning and brought company. She was here to tell us about the Youth Philanthropy Council at Norwich High School, a program sponsored by the United Way and the Community Foundation of South Central New York. Also on hand were two students who participated in the program, junior Marissa Mitchell and sophomore Jake Klockowski along with faculty Advisor Sue Fertig.

The program involves 8 students with a year long curriculum where they get hands on experience with non-profit agencies and some of the struggles they face with funding their programs. The students visit the agencies and actually decide on how to allocate over 11,000 dollars. To find out more, listen to the entire interview by clicking below.
