On May 16th, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested a City of Oneida resident on a variety of driving-related charges.

Jacob H. Warner, 37, was originally stopped in the Town of Columbus for failure to dim his headlights. During the stop it was discovered that Warner's NYS driving license had expired in 2005 and that he'd been suspended a total of 19 times. Officials say that Warner was also in possession of a prescription, of which he could not prove ownership, for the narcotic suboxone.

Warner was taken into custody without incident, arraigned in the Town of North Norwich Court, and remanded to the Correctional Facility in lieu of cash bail. He will reappear in the Town of Columbus Court at a later date.

Warner is charged with: aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to dim headlights, unlicensed operator, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
