The jazz quartet, Compass, featuring Rick Lawn on saxophones and flutes, Al Colone on drums, Tom Ives on bass and Joel Chace on electric keyboard will be playing at Oneonta's Autumn Cafe' on Saturday evening, April 27th from 9:30 PM to midnight. There's a $5 cover charge after 9:00 PM.
Compass was founded in Oneonta, NY in 1972 and has been together with the same personnel for 41 years. The band's performances offer a blend of original compositions, combined with the works of the greats of jazz, among them Miles Davis, Chic Corea, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins and others
