Just two concerts remain for the Chenango Blues Association Summer Series, and just one more in East Park.  New Riders of the Purple Sage are back for their fourth area performance.

Originating in San Francisco in the late 60's, the first incarnation of the New Riders included Jerry Garcia,  Mickey Hart, and Phil Lesh  of the Grateful Dead.

The New Riders began touring in 1970 as the opening act for the Dead,  and their popularity peaked with the 1973  release of "The Adventures of Panama Red" and the accompanying single Panama Red.

If you attended their local shows in the past 3 years, you know it's a great show and a great night in the park.
