Florida Georgia Line share an old-time love story in the music video for their newest single, "Simple." Readers can press play above to watch the new clip.

The "Simple" music video, directed by Justin Clough, starts with a grandfather beginning to tell his two grandsons a story about their grandmother, inspired by an old, Edison-style lighbulb one of them found. In a flashback, viewers see the young couple making a scene at a party they're crashing, then making their way to a barn dance. The lighbulbs come in to play as part of a romantic surprise.

Written by Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, along with Michael Hardy and Mark Holman, "Simple" takes cues from folk and roots music and mixes them with a poppy beat and steady rhythm. The duo's longtime collaborator, Joey Moi, produced the song, which is about finding your soulmate.

"Simple" is the first single from Florida Georgia Line's forthcoming fourth studio album, which will be the followup to 2016's Dig Your Roots. Hubbard and Kelley have also released "Colorado" from that record, which is expected in 2019.

"We are always wanting to push our sound forward and never make the same record twice," says Hubbard. "We feel like we’ve upped our game on this project as well."

In December, Florida Georgia Line will head to Las Vegas for a brief residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's Zappos Theater. Florida Georgia Line's Live From Las Vegas shows will take place on Dec. 1, 5, 7, 8 and 11; Mason Ramsey will open each concert.
