Governor Cuomo recently announced that New York State will provide over 100 million dollars to fund road improvements needed as a result of damage due to the harsh winter.  Of that 100 million, Chenango County will receive nearly 2.5 million dollars.

The money will be used to re-surface to areas in the county.   Route 12 from County Road 32 to the Sherburne Village line  will be re-surfaced at a cost of 1.8 million dollars.  Another 630,000 dollars will be spent on an area on Route 41 from Route 220 to the Cortland County line.

The work is scheduled to begin this summer and continue throughout the fall.
