Huge Crowd Cheers On Purple Tornado

Hundreds of supporters were at East Park in Norwich for a pep rally-bonfire to cheer on the Norwich Purple Tornado JV and Varsity football teams Thursday night.  It was a great event, and good to see more and more folks taking advantage of the new stage in the park.  A great addition to downtown Norwich.

The Tornado resume their 80 year old rivalry with Oneonta Friday night.  Norwich has won three straight since their opening loss to Union-Endicott, while the Jackets have yet to post a win.  If you can't make the trip over the hill, hear all the action on AM 970, WCHN
