New York is observing Invasive Species Awareness Week through Friday to educate New Yorkers about invasive species, their effects on ecosystems, and offer tips on what citizens can do to prevent their spread across the watershed and other parts of the state.

As part of that observance the New York City Department of Environmental Protection set up an education tent at the Pakatakan Farmers Market in Delaware County.  Invasive Species Awareness Week was established in 2014.  For more information about invasive species CLICK HERE.
