It’s Time for 2013 Ultimate Idol!

It's time for the 2013 Ultimate Idol held at the Oneonta Theatre, presented by Five Star Subaru and Community Bank.

And for the first-time ever, we're accepting musicians and not just singers. You must sing only for the audition round, but if you make the cut, bring your guitar, keyboard or other instrument for the competitive rounds. *All musicians must play their own instrument and sing. You will not be allowed to be accompanied by anyone.*

We're looking for the best adult singers and musicians ages 21-up for a chance to win a grand prize of $2,500, a recording session and the opportunity to have your song played on WSRK! Second place gets $500, while third goes home with $250!

The contest begins with auditions starting June 6 at the Oneonta Theatre, so get your name in now!

How It Works

The purpose of the Townsquare Media Idol talent search is to develop and encourage amateur entertainers throughout Otsego, Chenango, Delaware Counties and surrounding community area residents to join in on the fun.

Townsquare Media Idol will provide winners with the opportunity to perform at local venues throughout the year and record at Transition Records.

The competition is limited to pre-registered contestants and will be held at The Oneonta Theatre on Chestnut Street in Oneonta, NY.

A panel of judges will select contestants to proceed to the next step of the competition. The contestants chosen will be contacted.

The winner may be asked throughout the year to perform at other Townsquare Media events.

The grand prize winner will win $2,500, a recording session at Transitions Studios in Afton, and the opportunity to have their song play on WSRK.

Second place receive a savings bond valued at $500.

Third place will receive a savings bond valued at $250.
