The Centers for Disease Control says raw milk from a Walton creamery is linked to a number of listeria cases some of which were fatal.

According to the CDC website two deaths and six hospitalizations have been reported since September 1 in Connecticut, Florida, New York and Vermont.

The FDA says testing from its agency and the New York Department Of Agriculture found laboratory evidence indicating that the outbreak probably began at Vulto Creamery.

Vulto recalled eight varieties of soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses that were distributed nationwide.
