Memorial Day in Norwich

The rain held off Monday long enough for Memorial Day services downtown. A short parade featuring the Norwich High School marching band preceded a very nice celebration in West Park, where the featured speaker was Norwich City Police Chief  Joseph Angelino, and by all accounts he delivered one of the most heartfelt and poignant addresses that has been heard around here for a long time.  The Chief, seen above, was recently inducted into the Veteran's Hall of Fame.
