The worldwide "Maize Craze" is coming to Oxford.  The Peila family will open the area's first MAiZE, an intricate network of twists and turns carved into a 6 acre cornfield.  This is an opportunity for the whole family to challenge themselves to find the exit as they wander through more than three miles of twists, turns, and decision points.  The maze is designed in the shape of several farm organizations to honor past, present and future farmers!

The MAiZE will be open September 1st through October 28th, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 5:00, with field trip hours available weekdays by reservation.  It is located at 162 Kilroy Road in Oxford, at the corner of Kilroy and County Route 27.

The MAiZE is apparently the newest trend in outdoor entertainment for adults and children alike, and has attracted millions of visitors at locations around the world.  The concept was first introduced in Utah in 1996 and there are now locations in the U.S., Canada, Poland and the U.K.  It is now the largest cornfield maze company and it's coming to Chenango County! Thanks to Commerce Chenango for the news and maze photo!
