Just because summer is slipping away, that doesn't mean the fun stops in Norwich, oh no.  Coming up Saturday and Sunday, September 8th and 9th, Colorscape Chenango returns to East and West Parks.  This is the 24th year of the festival which is a free,  juried exhibition of art and fine crafts , with artist demonstrations, dance, music, and art activities for all ages, a competitive poetry slam, great food and entertainment on three stages.

Colorscape Chenango recently received national recognition as it was named one of the top 100 art festivals in the country in a poll of the artist themselves.

The annual Poetry Slam is always a much anticipated event, and this year will take place at Park Place Sports Bar and Grill Saturday, September 8th at 2 PM.  It's free and open to the public, and all poets, writers, and listeners are invited.  If you would like to participate call 244-9739 to pre-register.  Oh, by the way, there will be cash prizes for competing poets of all ages and experience levels.
