The Norwich City School District presented their proposed budget earlier this week at a public hearing.  Superintendent Gerard O'Sullivan told a small crowd that this year's proposed budget is $42,190,905, which he said is a zero per cent increase from this year's, and includes a 2.59% tax levy increase.

O'Sullivan said, if approved, the individual levy would increase $84 for homes assessed at $100,000 in the City of Norwich and $99 on homes in the Town of Norwich.

The vote on the budget and school board candidates will take place Tuesday, May 15th.
