Is it me or has our way of life gotten so complicated that it just gives you a headache trying to figure everything out?  Over the weekend, I was once again reminded several times of how complex it is to be a parent now days.

For example, when I was a kid, my parents didn't have to worry about cyber bullying, or cell phone and social media monitoring.  We didn't even watch that much television since we could only pick up 3 channels.  With so few choices, there wasn't much worth watching for a kid.  My parents didn't know how good they had it.  When I think about those times and have to deal with the complexities of decision-making regarding my children and access to the world wide web and Tv, I want to turn back the clocks to pre-internet times.

I must admit, the internet has provided me with a wealth of valuable information, more than I can ever wrap my head around.  I guess I'm still trying to figure out if all the headaches of trying to keep my kids safe and healthy where computers are concerned is worth all the good things I've taken advantage of on-line.  Let's face it, the fewer choices you have in front of you, the easier it is to make a decision and the simpler life is.  I think there's something to be said for fewer choices as opposed to a seemingly endless array of choices. It sure makes life less stressful, not to have to make so many complicated decisions.
