With all the talking we do on air about the Taste of Country Music Festival June 13-15 at Hunter Mountain, it got me to thinking about how fortunate we have been in Chenango County over the last couple of decades in being able to see great country performers right here in our own proverbial "back yard."  I know I'll forget one or two, but I will try to remember them all since I started at the Norwich stations with Matt Cooney in 1994.

Here goes in no particular order.....The Charlie Daniels Band, Neil McCoy, Aaron Tippin, Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Gracin, Mark Wills, Jeff Bates, Trent Wilmon, Sarah Johns, Andy Griggs, Bryan White, and kind of country The Marshall Tucker Band.  Not too shabby for the little old Chenango County Fairgrounds, right?  In july, we can add another to the list as The Lost Trailers will perform at the fairgrounds July 4th.  More on that later.

These, of course are in addition to great local talent who are making noise nationally, including the Beadle Brothers with 2 nationally released singles, Cassidy Lynn who recently won a song writing contest over 2,000 other writers, and Kaitlyn Jackson who has won contests from Norwich to Florida.

Back to the Taste of Country Music Festival.....I was excited to hear of the addition of the LoCash Cowboys to the line-up. Awesome act. Take a listen below as you order your festival tickets here.
