Sarge attende a press conference yesterday on RT. 12 south of Greene, where State Senator Tom Libous was joined by Jack Williams, Regional Director of the State Department of Transportation and Marsha Miller, Village of Greene Mayor to update the media on the 14 million dollar construction project on a 6 mile stretch of route 12 around Greene.

In the coming weeks when Raymond Corp. closes for 2 weeks, construction crews will concentrate on widening the area around Raymond and the intersection of route 12 and route 206 to make an easier and safer passageway for the many large trucks that visit Raymond daily.

According to Williams, the project is about 20% complete, with work scheduled to be complete by late fall.
