Franklin’s 2016 community day is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Village of Franklin along Institute and Main streets. Along Institute Street will be dozens of new craft and specialty vendors and some from the Franklin Farmers’ Market, an open house at the Franklin Firehouse, and the Rotary Club will grill at lunchtime in front of the Legion Post.

Doodle Bugs cars will be on display in the Firehouse parking lot just around the corner on Main Street. Just across Main Street, there will be music in the park.

On upper Main Street, Franklin Rail Road and Community Museum will be open – with free admission on a rare Saturday opening.  The newly restored interior of the Warwick touring car will be on view.ography.  In the theater are Richard Barlow’s life-size chalk  drawings a birch forest.

New Old Franklin Day is organized by the Greater Franklin Chamber of Commerce.  More information, including a list of vendors, is available on its website: FranklinNY.org.
