8 small businesses in the city of Oneonta will receive state grants totaling over $175,000. The money comes from the NYS Office of Community Renewal through the New York State Community Development Block Grant Microenterprise Program.

City officials say the businesses awarded funding are a mix of new and existing
enterprises that will support and create jobs for low and moderate income persons. Funding decisions were made by a review committee consisting of members of the local business community.
