There is always much to do and see at the fair and one event that promises to be loads of fun is the Karaoke contest Friday night.  Sign ups for the limited number of contestant spots begins at 5:30 in the entertainment tent with the contest beginning shortly thereafter...

This Saturday, August 3rd, East Park in Norwich is the place to be for the 2nd annual Chenango Summer Jam.  Five bands will hit the stage from noon-9:30 for a free show. Back this year are area favorites Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, as well as The Cris Jacobs Band, Flow Tribe, Conehead Buddha, and Waydown Wailers...

In a recent post, I talked about the value of our local county fairs versus The Six Flags Great Escape experience. I know you won’t find roller coasters at one of our local county fairs but you will find a whole lot more for your money than at one of the big fancy amusement parks.

Another Gus Macker 3 on 3 tournament has come and gone,  and the downtown streets are quiet again, save for the normal traffic.  Congratulations again to all involved in the organization, including Tom Revoir and everyone at the Norwich Family YMCA, including the "Gus Busters," or volunteers without whom the show would not go on...

Terry Potter from Millennia Entertainment (and New Berlin Mayor) joined us in the Big Kat studios Friday to announce when tickets for Guitar Under The Stars featuring Jaime O'Neal would go on sale and the date is......May 17th.  Early sale tickets are just 10 dollars, but that price is good only for a short time before they go up to 15 dollars...
