She has opened for the Rolling Stones, headlined at the Chicago Blues Festival, been twice nominated for a Grammy, and Shemekia Copeland is coming to Norwich. Copeland will appear at the 21st Annual Chenango Blues Fest August 17th on the main stage...

We told you yesterday about the great line-up of local performers scheduled for the July 4th festival at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, but there is plenty to do in addition to enjoying the  live music all day. There will be a Karaoke contest at 10 AM, the Ross Park Zoomoblie is open from 2-5, there's a hot dog eating contest at 2:30, and of course plenty of food, crafts and more...

We are fortunate here in the Southern Tier area to have so many talented bands and performers, and on the Fourth of July, you will have an opportunity to see and hear many of them on the same stage. For over two decades, The Chenango Blues Association has been bringing some of the top blues acts to the Chenango County Fairgrounds and this year is no exception.  One of the bands making a return appearance is Royal Southern Brotherhood, and if you saw them in East Park during the summer series last year, you know they are incredible...
