Every year the Chenango United Way begins their annual fund drive with an opportunity for volunteers to give back, create an impact and gain knowledge about local organizations and what services they provide. Chenango United Way's Executive Director, Elizabeth Monaco joined us in the Big Kat studios Friday to catch us up on what's happening with the United Way.  Elizabeth has been ill, so we were certainly glad to see her up and around and back at work...

Good news for the Chenango United Way campaign. It was reported last week that contributions this year totaled $444,875, which is $875 more than the goal.

The 2012 Chenango United Way campaign ends at noon today, after kicking off with the annual Day of Caring in late September. Elizabeth Monaco, Executive Director of Chenango United Way, says they had one of their best years.

Chenango United Way Executive Director Elizabeth Monaco paid a visit to the Big Kat studios Friday, along with co-chairmen Olin Miller and TJ  Moorehead.  They told us that with a little over two weeks to go in this year's campaign, they are at almost 90% of their 444,000 dollar goal...

We were visited in studio Friday morning by Deb Barker and Terra Granata representing the Chenango United Way and they brought us up to date on this year's campaign. To date, they are at a little under 322,000 dollars, which is 77% of their 444,000 dollar goal...

T.J. Moorehead, Co-Chairman of the United Way fall campaign joined us in the Big Kat studio to share some good news.  He told us the United Way is at 50% of their $444,000 goal.  To date, they have raised over $221,000. Charlie McMullen from the Taste N' See Soup Kitchen program and Chenango United Way Board member,  along with Katha Root, past soup kitchen Program Director and Director of the county WIC program joined us in the studio this morning to talk about both the United Way 2012 campaign and hunger issues in Chenango County...
