Thomas Rhett's new album, Tangled Up, is finally out and the Georgia native is pretty excited. He recently stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to chat with us, opening up about a few of the songs.

Rhett's 13-track album includes his hit "Crash and Burn" and his newest single, "Die a Happy Man," as well as a few surprising collaborations. The rising country star asked Jordin Sparks, a talented pop singer, to join him on a track titled "Playing With Fire" and told us he was really impressed with her.

“She’s great, man," Rhett gushes. "When she came in to sing the song ‘Playing With Fire’ on the album, it took her like 10 minutes to sing the song. She’s just a really talented human being and as sweet as she can be. I couldn’t be happier to have Jordin featured on my album.”

Tangled Up also features a track called "I Feel Good" that Rhett admits will get anyone moving.

“I would say that’s probably the most different song on the record, and one of those ones that the title just says it all," Rhett explains. "If you’re not smiling and laughing and feeling good through that song, I don’t know what makes you happy."

Even though the album is mostly funky and upbeat, the singer had to throw in one sweet song that he wrote for his wife, Lauren. It's the most romantic track on the album, and Rhett hopes people can eventually use it as their wedding song.

“There’s a song on the record called ‘Die a Happy Man’ that I hope one day becomes a lot of people’s wedding songs. It’s a super, super, super love song," he says, adding sweetly, "I wrote it about my wife.”

The love song is Rhett's current single and it's a big change from "Crash and Burn," his first single from the record. Rhett's Tangled Up is officially out in online retailers as well as in stores. Hear his full interview with us below.
