The pretrial hearings for accused New Berlin killer Ganesh Ramsaran are set to begin in June, with his trial to begin in September in Chenango County Court.

Ramsaran faces a charge of 2nd degree murder in connection with the killing of his wife in December 2012. Jennifer Ramsaran's body was found in late February off a remote road in the Town of Pharsalia with an autopsy determining her death was a homicide.

Ramsaran has replaced his initial defense lawyer with Mary Ann Krico of Hackensack, New Jersey, after his previous lawyer advised court officials Ramsaran owed him $72,000 in legal fees.

Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride will be the lead prosecutor in the trial.
