Do you think you have what it takes?  Here's a chance for area youth to put their skills to the test with the 4_H Survival Skills Challenge presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County.  Teams of 4 youths ages 10-18 will rotate through five stations where they will complete tasks in kayaking, wayfinding, foraging, fire starting, and shelter building.  Kids will navigate their way through the outdoor terrain, build a camp, and use their resources to see which team will come out on top.

The Challenge will take place June 9th at 9 AM at Millbrook Park in New Berlin.  Only a limited number of teams can enter and the slots are filling fast.  For more information or to register, call Christina Hall at 607-334-5841 ext. 14 or stop in at the Cooperative Extension Offices at 99 North Broad in Norwich.  If you don't have a team, individuals can also register and be placed on a team.
