A. Jones With More On The New Emergency App Release

City of Norwich Emergency Management Director A. Wesley Jones joined us in the Big Kat studios Friday morning to tell us more on the new smartphone app designed as a one-stop resource for emergency preparedness and response. He told us that Norwich and Chenango County are the first agency in the state and one of the few nationwide with an emergency preparedness app.

The application allows for push notifications so emergency managers can reach people quickly during an emergency situation, and with all that's going on in Boston, it certainly is timely, isn't it?

The app is free and is available for iPhone and Android phones in the respective App Stores by searching "Norwich" or "Chenango."
