Train fans are going to want to attend the Oxford Historical Society's presentation Tuesday, April 9th at the Oxford Library.  Guest speaker Nancy Bromley, historian and president of the Greene Historical Society will present a special railroad themed program called "An American Railroader's Story." Nancy will recount a great story based on a book written by her husband's grandfather called "Clear The Tracks." It's a tale of his days working for the railroad.

Here's a chance to close your eyes, and imagine the sound of the locomotive engine and the call of the conductor as he  yells "All Aboard."  Nancy brings to life incidents such as near tragedies, interesting passengers, weather hazards and more.

You will definitely be reminded of Chenango County's busy railroad days when passengers and freight went north and south.

The presentation will be at 7 PM at the Oxford Library. For more info call 821-1223 or go to their website.
