There was a threat of rain all day, but in the end even Mother Nature didn't want to put a damper on Guitar Under The Stars Wednesday night at the fair, featuring headliner Jamie O'Neal. Millennia Entertainment put together an incredible show that kicked off with Norwich Middle School's own amazing talent, Kaitlyn Jackson who is becoming increasingly more polished and professional every time we see her.

Speaking of polished and professional, following Kaitlyn was a group of guys from the Norwich area as well, Tumbleweed Highway. They were the winners of the local Taste of Country Festival battle of the bands and performed at Hunter Mountain.  If you haven't seen them yet, make it a point to do so, and it should be easy as they are a very busy band with a fan base that grows every time they play. They will appear at numerous locales in the area over the next few months.

Next it was local favorite Cassidy Lynn. It hardly seems right to call her a local act these days. Since moving to Nashville, she is making huge strides with her musical career. She recently won a national song writing contest, frequently performs in Nashville and has a new, incredible CD. Boy has she come a long way since those days on the gazebo in East Park with her karaoke machine.

Finally to the star of the show, Jamie O'Neal. I think it would be quite difficult to find a more powerful voice in country music today.  The 4 time Grammy nominee and ACM winner for Best New Female Artist kept the crowd happy with a combination of her hits and tunes from her new classic country CD due out soon. Let me add that she has to be one of the nicest, classiest and most graceful ladies in the business. She was friendly and quite patient with all the lucky fans that got to "Meet and Greet" her. She looks great and sounds great.

Congratulations to Millennia Entertainment and the Chenango County Fair Board for putting on a great show.
