Atlantic City has sure seen some changes over the years.

When I was a kid (and business was good at my parent's grocery store) we would take the whole family to Atlantic City for a vacation.  It was great fun.  The boardwalk was amazing, the amusements were fun to watch, the food was great (first time I ever had a corn dog on a stick) and the hotels were grand.

And no casinos.

Fast forward 30 years and we revisit AC once again.  Wall to wall casinos, Hard Rock Cafes, Applebees, Planet Hollywoods, franchise restaurants and stores galore.  It was buzzing with all night excitement.  I think I took about 20 Big Chuck buses there to see concerts (Anne Murray, Barbara Mandrell, Randy Travis and the likes) and we always had a ball.

Fast forward another decade.

Casinos closed up and dark, bus companies stopped going there, big stars shunned the showrooms and dozens of more casinos close to home have opened up.

Now we have Turning Stone, Tioga Down, Yellow Brick Road, Rivers Casino and many others all within a 2-3 hour drive in our listening area.

So...why go back to Atlantic City?

That wonderful resort was the site of many great memories for me over the last half century.  But I haven't been in 15 years.  Does anybody ever go to AC anymore?

Just curious...
