Blake Shelton doesn't have kids of his own, and he regrets it a little. During an appearance on Today this week, he admits that getting to know Gwen Stefani's three sons has been fun, even if it made him realize that he's missed out on fatherhood.

"At this point in my life, I kind of had put [having kids] as like, ‘Well, that wasn’t meant to be,’" he tells the co-hosts. "Then all of a sudden it happens one way or another and it’s like, ‘Wow, I really missed out on a lot.'"

Stefani's has three boys, Apollo, 4, Zuma, 9, and Kingston James McGregor, 11. In spending time with his girlfriend, Shelton has also taken on a stepdad role with her sons, and it's been a lot of fun for him.

"Having them around ... I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s so much fun,” The Voice coach shares.

Stefani's boys seem to love Shelton as much as she does, but the family love doesn't end there. Even Stefani's 90-year-old aunt is a big fan! At a party for Aunt Donna DiPaola's 90th birthday, the birthday girl had some wise advise for Stefani, telling her on video: "Don't get rid of that wonderful boyfriend of yours."

Stefani has no plans to kick Shelton to the curb, and as evidenced by the country singer's agreement to dress up as Scooby at Apollo's 4th birthday party, he seems to be in it for the long haul too.

So, if Shelton could change one thing about his life what would it be? "I wish they filmed The Voice in Oklahoma. That would be nice."
