Changes to Slow Moving Vehicle Laws

The state enacts changes to laws governing slow moving vehicles such as tractors and buggies on the highways. Machinery designed to operate at speeds greater than 25 MPH but less than 40 MPH will now be required to display a Speed Notification Symbol along with the “slow-moving vehicle triangle.” Previously the markings applied only to vehicles under 25 miles an hour. The Speed Notification Symbol shows the vehicle’s top speed. Motorists are reminded it is illegal to pass slow-moving vehicles in a no-passing zone.
