According to the report, Chenango County has informed the State Supreme Court reviewing the voting in the 22nd U.S. Congressional District that it discovered 55 early voting ballots that weren’t canvassed by the local board of elections.

Right now, the official word on the race with the canvassed votes being reported Monday afternoon to the court, former Congresswoman Claudia Tenney was barely in line to take her seat back from Democrat Incumbent Anthony Brindisi.  The Republican, as of December 1, was about 12 votes ahead.

That number does not include the newly discovered early-votes in Chenango County.

Tenney’s campaign has blamed Governor Andrew Cuomo for changing election laws, including early voting and mail-in ballots, for confusion and alleged illegal voting by dead people, unregistered and unauthorized people.
