Chenango County’s “Souper Bowl”

Everyone is gearing up for the big game Sunday, but there is another "Souper Bowl" we want to remind you about.  This one is in March, and it is the popular soup tasting fundraiser, back at the Norwich Family YMCA for the 3rd year. This benefit for Chenango County Habitat For Humanity features entertainers, a bake sale, door prizes, Chinese auction and of course, great soups from restaurants around Chenango County.

For just 6 dollars, people come for a "taste of Chenango" and to vote for their favorite culinary delight. Another of the major attractions of the Souper Bowl are beautiful baskets consisting of donated items that are raffled off through the auction. Last year's baskets featured store gift items, plants, crafts and certificates donated by private individuals and area businesses.
