Community Mourns Death of Norwich Police Sergeant

A memorial was held Thursday for a 34-year-old Norwich Police Sergeant who died from a chronic illness. According to the department Timothy Annesi came to work last Friday and died Sunday morning. Other area law enforcement agencies stepped in to cover calls for Norwich so officers could prepare for Annesi’s funeral and memorial. Governor Andrew Cuomo permitted the city of Norwich and greater Norwich community to lower the American flag to half-staff through Sunday, March 31 in Annesi’s honor.
