Fire Destroys Afton Home

Investigators say a fire Monday at an Afton home was caused by a faulty air conditioning and heating unit. Crews found the Hall Road residence was fully engulfed and the residents were out when the blaze broke out. No injuries were reported and the home which was described as a seasonal residence was declared as a total loss.
