Folk Duo at 6 On The Square

6OTS in Oxford is presenting folk duo Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart this Sunday, September 23rd at 7PM. Coming all the way from Tennessee, Earle and Stuart are armed with clever acoustic guitar interplay, lovely harmonies, and humorous storytelling.

Stacey Earle is the sister of Steve Earle, and after touring with her brother's band for a year and a half, she returned to Nashville to start a career of her own as a folk singer/songwriter.

Mark Stuart once toured with Freddy Fender, and also spent time with Steve Earle and the Dukes.

Stacey and Mark own their own record label and have recorded 8 CD's over the years.  They ended their pursuit of a major label deal over a decade ago to target small intimate venue crowds like the one at 6OTS.
