Noodles: In many Asian cultures, eating noodles is thought to bring good luck in the new year, but make sure you don't break the noodle before you get it all the way into your mouth!

Pork: In countries such as Austria, Cuba, and Spain, they consider pork to be a good luck food because of the way in which pigs get their food: they root for food while planting their feet and pushing their snouts forward. Why is this good? Because pushing forward is progress and we all know that progress is good.
