A man arrested in a Greene business burglary on Monday may be tied to other thefts. According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, Matthew Jones of Greene broke into a Genesee Street commercial building and investigators determined Jones was carrying a loaded .45 caliber pistol with the serial number removed. That prompted a search of his South Canal Street home where another defaced handgun along with drugs and items reported stolen from other local burglaries were seized. Jones was jailed on $10,000 cash bail.
