Hope on the Horizon for Delaware County’s Countryside Care Center?

Although the Countryside Care Center in Delhi, Delaware County, remains closed at this time, there may be hope on the horizon.

Congressman Chris Gibson has spearheaded the campaign to find a new owner for the facility, and states that he and Delaware County officials will continue to make a concerted effort. They recently took a meeting that the congressman described as "encouraging." Listen to his full statement here:

The former owners, Leatherstocking LLC, closed Countryside in October, 2012. The Delaware County Commissioner of Social Services sold Countryside to Leatherstocking in 2006.
