There should be no complaints about a lack of something to do in Norwich this summer. Beginning with a great day of music in East Park last Sunday, the Mustang Rally at Matthews Ford and Dairy Day at the fairgrounds Saturday, the summer is jammed full of entertainment.

The NBT Summer Concert Series begins July 10th and continues each Thursday evening in East Park through the first week in August. First up will be the Cris Jacobs Band, who, by the way, will be opening for Steve Winwood at 6 shows this summer. and the always popular New Riders of the Purple Sage are also returning. The Gus Macker 3 on 3 hoops tournament returns in July as well.

Other events, and these are just a few, include the Relay For Life Rock and Roll Cruise-in at the Chenango County Fairgrounds on July 18th. There's lots going on in August too, including the Chenango County Fair the 5th through the 10th, and this year something new. Wednesday August 6th, the fair will present "Wednesday Night Throwdown," a real rodeo with bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing and more.

Of course, also in August, one of the premier blues festivals in the country, the Chenango Blues Festival is August 15th and 16th and a great line up is booked for that. Check it out here.

There are plenty more great family events which we will keep you informed of throughout this great Chenango County Summer!
